Three small things, made well.

Bit7 Objects is a deliberately small line of hand-finished pieces — held, worn, or set down on a shelf. They sit beside the voice and the embodied series, and they are the smallest way to bring the studio into a room.

We do not say more than this on the surface. The objects are designed to be discovered, not announced.

Murmur, Pebble, Veil.

Three pieces, three habits of holding. Each shares the same internal architecture as our embodied work — sensor-led, locally processed, encrypted at rest — in a body small enough for a coat pocket or a drawer beside the bed.

Glass, aluminium, walnut, linen, silicone.

The Objects line is built around five materials and nothing else. Each object uses three or four of them; the studio rejected plastics, lacquered finishes, and decorative chrome at the start. There is no logo on any piece.

The aesthetic borrows from shibui (渋い) — a Japanese term for beauty that is restrained, considered, and reveals itself slowly.

Design principles

Quiet by design.

Three rules, written in the casting bay. They explain why the line is small, and why we do not advertise the objects in the lobby.

— 一

An object before a function.

Each piece is a beautiful thing first. If it sat on a shelf alone it would still earn its place. The function is held quietly inside.

— 二

Silence over interface.

No screens, no LEDs, no app required to begin. A single haptic gesture starts and ends every interaction. The voice agent is optional.

— 三

Discoverable, not announced.

We do not show these objects on the homepage hero. We do not include them in the press kit. People who are looking find them.

In the family

How an object meets a voice.

Murmur and Veil pair with the rest of the studio's work. Pebble does not. The choice is the owner's.

Pairing is local — Bluetooth Low Energy, never the cloud. An object and a voice agent learn each other on first contact and remember nothing about the pairing afterwards.

Care · Discreet

Made to be held for years.

Each Object ships with a linen pouch, a walnut rest, and a hand-bound booklet of care notes. There is no app. There is no online registration. The piece is yours from the moment you take it out of the box.

Service is done at the Tokyo atelier or by post. Glass replacement is included for life. Aluminium can be re-brushed; walnut can be re-oiled. The internal electronics are documented and replaceable.

A note on visibility

"Discoverable, not announced."

You will not find an Object in our press release, in the homepage hero, or in the launch video. The line is real, the page exists, and the studio is happy to talk — but the catalog does not shout. We took this from the line in our founding letter, from an older Japanese sense of restraint, and from owners who told us they wanted things they could keep entirely to themselves.

Reserve a piece, by hand.

The Objects line is made in lots of one hundred per quarter. Reserve a piece on Access, or write the listening room directly.
